CALLING ALL HISS WOMEN:  The weekend of October 14-16 is earmarked as our Annual Women’s Retreat.  This year we are heading to the UMC Camp and Retreat Center West River, near Annapolis.  Sharon Meyer will be guiding us through the topic, “Let Go, and Let God!”.  We want as many as possible to sign up for this meaningful and fun adventure.  Registration is due by September19th.  Brochures can be found in the Narthex or in The Son’s Spot on the Information Table.  Hope you can join us…even for just one day!

 FALL STUDIES: Pastor Weitzel is looking for participants in Studies for the fall.  Based on your interest, he will choose from one of  the following Disciple 2, Into the Word; Into the World, Disciple 4, Under the Tree of Life, or  John Ortberg’s study, When the Game is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box.  Disciple 2 includes the books of Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts. Disciple 4 includes the Old Testament writings some of which are poetry and wisdom from Job, Psalms, Ecclesiastes, Proverbs, Song of Solomon and New Testament books of John and Revelation.  John Ortberg’s study includes six sessions on living life in light of eternity. Classes will meet on Wed. evenings.  The Ortberg study could possibly meet on Monday or Wednesday. Faith Forum

?  We all have questions about the why's concerning our faith.  ?
Faith Forum class which meets at 9:30 AM Sunday mornings below the Sanctuary in room 'C' (Bride's Room) will be starting a 5 week series called 'WHY?"  We will be using Adam Hamilton's book WHY-Making Sense of God's Will.
  The topics will be: 
Why Do the Innocent Suffer?
Why Do My Prayers Go Unanswered?
Why Can't I see God's Will for My Life?
Why God's Love Prevails. 
Faith Forum will be starting September 19th  and will not meet the week of the Women's Retreat.
