How do I publish my web site using FrontPage?
When you publish your frontpage site for the 1st time, use the frontpage desktop
"file" pulldown menu and select "publish frontpage web". Delete
any entries that you will not be using again by right clicking on the item and select
"remove from list". Click on "more webs" and type in
"www.takingcareofbusiness.com/account name"
and click on "OK". Select "publish changed pages only", and
click on "OK". The next time you want to update your site you can just
click on "Publish" on the frontpage desktop to update the pages that you have
changed only, without uploading the entire site.
* Cybertec account names are the same as your
subdirectory name.
Can I Ftp to my web space?
You can use any Ftp program to transfer files to your web space. We recommend using WS_FTP
LE which can be downloaded from www.ipswitch.com.
If you are using FrontPage to publish your web site, we recommend NOT to
use Ftp, as this could cause your FrontPage extensions to become corrupt and your
FrontPage web site will not function properly. If you would like to
maintain your space with Ftp you can log onto our Ftp server with the following
specifications:
Profile Name: takingcareofbusiness.com or any name
Host Name/Address: www.takingcareofbusiness.com
Host Type: Windows NT or Automatic Detect
User ID: account name
Password: enter
your password
Account: leave blank
Initial Remote Host Directory: leave
blank
Initial Local Directory: directory your files are located on your computer (ex: c:\webshare)
